You may have read my post the other day about T.J. Maxx, but since then I have had the chance to really go shopping and check out all their great deals! Before I go into my deals and steals, I wanted to give a quick background on T.J. Maxx that I found interesting.
T.J. Maxx has been around since 1977, with the premise to help customers “maximize their budgets with the same on-trend, in season, first quality merchandise as department and specialty stores, but for much less.” With items that include: apparel for women, men and children to home, accessories, bath and beauty, and even jewelry, T.J. Maxx has it all. I was also surprised to learn that they have 10,000 never items that arrive at the stores each week, so the merchandise is always fresh and within the current season. There are also 870 stores nationwide! Also, if you are curious the difference between Marshalls and T.J. Maxx is that T. J. Maxx features more jewelry, handbags, accessories, and home décor items.
So onto my shopping trip. Now like I said before, I was looking for decorations for our house mainly as we have a big house that needs to be decorated. I did look around at the purses, as I love to dream but who am I kidding I have a diaper bag now as my permanent purse! Well their purse section is usually at the front of the store and one of my favorite areas to browse. Anyways, then I checked the shoes, as I am a shoeaholic, but even though the prices were awesome, nothing said “Cher, Buy Me!” So onto the kids clothes, which I also look at, but right now I am all about matching outfits for my boys and I couldn’t find matching anything in their sizes.
Next I made it to the house wares department, which is usually the whole back of the store. Now with our new house, we need basically everything and I could have probably bought everything, but I had to restrain myself and shop wisely. Luckily, the prices were awesome and they even had clearance so with all those good deals, it was hard not to buy everything in sight. Anyways, I browsed up and down every aisle and saw some awesome paintings, vases, fake flower centerpieces, sheets, bathroom decorations, and then I came to the rug aisle. All I can say is wow, I have not seen that many colors and styles of rugs all organized and displayed so nicely.
So because I also had a time constraint and had to get back home to the kiddos, I ended up just buying 2 rug sets. Now if you have not been rug shopping lately then you may not know how expensive bath rugs can be, and we have 5 bathrooms! Now I am still picking out colors for the house so it was also hard to pick out items to decorate since I don’t have a sense how I want to decorate yet. It is nice though to know though that I can get everything at T.J. Maxx! So anyway, I got 2 Soft, Shag, Cotton rug sets for $14.99 each, and they each have 2 rugs included! Needless to say I was super excited because they are not the cheap feeling ones that are hard and fall apart in the washer, these rugs are nice and comfy. They normally retail for $30.00 each so I saved a total of $15! (In case you don’t know, the sticker shows the Manufacturer price and the T.J. Maxx price.)
