Eating Right Kids was a hit with my boys!

One of the biggest challenges in my house is feeding my 2 ½ year old. I am constantly trying to find healthy meals and snacks that I can feel good about giving to my boys. Well thanks to Eating Right Kids and Warner Brothers Looney Tunes, they have teamed up to bring meals, snacks, cereals and drinks that kids will love!

Now I was not familiar with Eating Right, which is exclusive to Safeway grocery stores, but it is a new brand of basically “great-tasting, better-for-you” foods. So now Eating Right covers the entire family by introducing their new kids line. Similar to Eating Right, each Eating Right Kids package features the color-coded Spot Your Needs System on the front so you can spot important nutritional information in seconds.

Eating Right Kids contains items from the following categories: Bread, Cereal, Chewy Bars, Frozen Entrees, Fruit Cups, Fruits & Vegetables, Juice, Pudding, Vitamin Water and Waffles & Pancakes. So yeah they based covered everything! The Eating Right Kids line has also been formulated to standards based on the most recent dietary recommendations and regulations from several federal and state agencies. Oh and Safeway’s Eating RIght Kids inititiave was highlighted by the FTC for its ability to have a positive impact on childhood obesity.

I received a nice package of Eating Right Kids to try out and Aidan was thrilled. He immediately recognized Bugs Bunny and smiled. Now I am not one to push brands that feature characters or are sponsored by stars, but if Bugs Bunny will help Aidan eat then I will buy Bugs Bunny food sponsored items!

Overall, both of my boys loved the samples we received and since I have actually already purchased some of their favorites from Dominick’s (Safeway stores). The best part is that all the items are also very reasonably priced and not expensive, which is what I expected. For example, their frozen entrees were 2 for $4.00 and they are good sized kid portions! And yes I tried the food along with my kids and it tasted great, I was expecting bland and flavorless, but everything was really good!
