If you live in Chicago land, then you may or may not be a Dominick’s shopper. I am not sure about other cities, but here it seems like we have an abundance of grocery stores. I get about 6 grocery store flyers every week and the only problem is, is that sometimes when you visit a store because they have an awesome sale on bread, milk, or your favorite frozen entrees, then everything else seems ridiculously priced. I know I personally have experienced this and in the end, I actually probably spent more money because I had to buy other items that were higher priced then what I normally would pay. For example, I went to Dominick’s a few years ago for Coke and a few other items and I remember butter was almost $5 for a package of 4 sticks!
In addition to the Fresh Values card that Dominick’s offers, now they have reduced their prices on thousands (yes thousands!) of everyday items so customers will have a more affordable and convenient one-stop shopping experience! So you can not only get your Fresh Values Card discount (free discount card), receive cheaper prices on staple items, but you can also of course use coupons! I can vouch too for their low prices and how very competitive they are now to other stores!
To make shopping easier, especially for those on a budget (which aren’t we all!) Dominick’s redesigned yellow shelf “Tags” to show their old price crossed out and the new everyday low price. The new yellow tag also displays the Dominick’s Fresh Values Card price.
Don’t live in Chicago land? Don’t worry, Safeway is rolling this price reduction program to across all of its stores.

• Randalls
• Tom Thumb
So if your Safeway store hasn’t lowered their prices yet, keep the faith and keep checking back! For now though, Safeway is doing their best to not break our budgets buying groceries!
