KidSafe Review

In our new house, the whole upstairs is carpeted, which means our furniture is not as stable as it used to be on the hardwood floors we used to have it on. I was especially worried because we have an armoire in our bedroom with a television inside it and it is older so its heavy. With the carpeting the armoire is now easily tipp-able and I worry that when Aidan opens it up to put his cartoons on in the morning that he will pull it on top of him.

So began my search for furniture straps. I checked Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Menards, and even a furniture store and none of them had anything that would work. Then I found the company “KidSafe” who specializes in Baby Proofing and Child Safety Products and found what I was looking for, and more! KidSafe has taken its years of experience in the baby proofing business to develop a product line that features high quality, durable, and fair-priced products.
KidSafe has so many different products and what I like is that it is organized by Category or Brand. They also feature awesome Product videos so you can see how the products actually work. These videos are similar to home videos and show an actual person installing and setting up the product. Oh and to add to how wonderful KidSafe is, they also feature a great list of child safety resources which you can check out here.

While shopping around KidSafe, I was actually amazed at all the safety products for stuff that I never even thought of baby proofing! Now I don’t think my son will ever try to climb into the oven or dryer but with a little encouragement from his older brother, who knows what trouble they could cause and danger they could put themselves into. Kid Safe carries unique and specialty products from higher quality brands than most retail and hardware stores.

Anyway, back to my furniture problem. So KidSafe sent me a package of Anti-Tip Furniture Straps, which retails for $4.99, and my problem is now solved. It took my husband about 10 minutes to install and all you have to do is drill a few screws into the wall and then a few more into the furniture item. Now our heavy oak armoire is securely mounted to the wall to prevent accidental tipping. I feel so much better now knowing that Aidan is not going to pull the armoire down.

Here is what it looks like in my house attached to my armoire:

Well thanks to KidSafe, I have a Anti-Tip Furniture Strap to giveaway to one lucky reader! And really I am sure everyone can use at least one somewhere in their house!

Mama’s Money Savers Disclaimer: I was given a Anti-Tip Furniture Strap to review. This review is 100% my opinion and has not been edited or reviewed by anyone. I was not compensated in any other way for this product review.

  • Those are awesome. I like all products that keep kids safe. Electrical plug covers, cabnet locks, wickless candles are all favorites of mine. Just found another to add to my list. I have a tall cabinet my computer is in this would work perfect for. Thank you for sharing.
