Two Leaves and a Bud Tea Review: Organic Tea

As I recently blogged about, tea has become my new comfort. I was never really a tea drinker, but I got sick and with all the stress from moving and my family, tea has become my new best friend. Another issue that I have been blogging about lately is organic products. Well to kill two birds with one stone, the company Two Leaves and a Bud came through to me.

Two Leaves and a Bud is a tea company that is certified organic with all but three of their teas being USDA Certified Organic, and they have a lot of flavors! The company founded because good organic tea was nearly impossible to find in North America, founder Richard Rosenfeld. Two Leaves and a Bud Tea also support charities, fair trade and small farmers.

So since I have never tried organic tea before, I was excited when I was asked if I wanted to try some of the Two Leaves and a Bud tea. First, let me explain the name of the company, as you may be curious. From the Two leaves and a Bud website: “ The finest teas start with just the very small blossoms, the two leaves and a bud of a tea flower. We named our company for these shoots which are the essence of great tea.”

I was set an awesome assortment of flavors to try out and I didn’t even know which to try first. I received colorful little packages with one tea bag each in them that had the tea name, a quick description, and the Steep time. The descriptions were mainly whether or not the tea had caffeine or tea type. I honestly can’t pick a favorite and I haven’t tried them all yet, but so far they are all winners!

To get an idea of all the different teas they carry they have an organized list on the website broken done into the following categories: Organic, Black, Green, White, Herbal, Tea Sachels, Loose Tea, Tea by Caffeine, and Tea by Region. You can also purchase teaware, gifts and check out sale items while you are on their website.

Some of the flavors are of course the popular Earl Grey, Jasmine Green Tea, Acai White, Peppermint, Darjeeling and Chamomile. Yes they carry every flavor and are worth checking out, especially if you want to stay Organic and want a flavor variety.
