"Wubb Idol" DVD Review: Love it!

As I write this post, we are watching one of my son’s favorite show “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” and we are not watching any old episode but the new “Wubb Idol” DVD. “Wubb Idol” was released last week (October 13th) and it definitely is a must watch and buy! It is adorable and how could you not love a full-length movie starring the “Wubb-able” and One-and-Only Wubbzy and friends! (You can read the Press Release here)

If you are not familiar with Wubbzy, he is from the Emmy Award-winning Nick Jr. Tv Show, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! The movie aired back in April on Nickelodeon when the TV movie capped off a weeklong “Wubb Girlz” spectacular, capturing audiences from all across the country and reaching a combined 6.5 million total viewers. Now it is available on DVD with even more content, bonus features and fun! The DVD is a total of 93 minutes with double the content of the “Wubb Idol” TV movie.

In “Wubb Idol.” Wubbzy and his best friends Walden, Widget and Daizy are excited about a popular girl group, The Wubb Girlz, who are coming to town to host the “Wuzzleburg Idol” talent show. The Wubb Girlz group even features Beyonce Knowles as she makes her voiceover debut as Shine, the lead singer. Well everyone in town tries out for the “Wuzzleberg Idol” and they all sing what they think the judges want to hear. Wubbzy though has to decided whether to sing like everyone else or be himself.

Throughout the movie there are so many important themes that I think any preschooler could grasp. Having fun, Being Yourself, Making Decisions, and Having Friends are just some of the themes of this awesome movie. I really thought this movie was cute and I love how bright and fun Wubbzy is. I also love how it really gets Aidan’s attention, which not many shows do!
