Cold & Flu Tracker by Triaminic Review & Giveaway (Ends 1/25)

Right now as I write this I am sitting amongst a bunch of tissues as I finally got the cold bug. My boys have already had three colds and I don’t wish their pain on any mom and child. Well now there is an online tool that provides a weekly data feed of cold & flu symptom trends by state plus other cold prevention tips for you and your family called the Cold & Flu Tracker. You can find so much valuable information at the website including the Tracker which lists the most active cold & flu areas by states, Sick Day Guidelines, Cold & Cough Guide, Fend Off the Flu, and an Allergy Guide.

So when I clicked on Illinois, Chicago immediately lit up red as being Very High will cold and flu illnesses. Now I know I can’t do much about it as this is where I live, but we don’t go out as much to crowded areas if we don’t have to and I am very cautious of germs. The Sick Day Guidelines is a great resource of tips to know when to keep your child home and when to call the doctor. There are about 22 million school days missed each year in the U.S. due to colds, which are also the leading cause of doctor visits and missed work days. Now many people know to wash their hands, cover their mouth when they cough, sanitize items that could carry germs, but the website really offers some great tips and facts.

The Cold & Flu Tracker is brought to you by Triaminic, who is a leader in children’s over-the-counter cold and flu symptom medication. What is great about Triaminic is that their single-use Thin Strips provide a pre-measured dose of medicine that dissolves quickly on the tongue, so parents know their children are receiving the recommended amount for their age. I think it is great to have a pre-measured product because when I try to give my sons a liquid medicine they struggle and I end up spilling it and never know if I have given them the correct amount.

I applaud Triaminic for going the extra step and not just promoting their product but basically giving tips how to stay healthy and not need it! They are just offering their product as a way to relieve awful cold and flu symptoms if you happen to get sick. I would recommend their products to any mom, although do read the labels for age guidelines and check with your pediatrician if your mom instincts kick in that something more serious is wrong.

BUY IT: You can find Triaminic Thin Strips and other Triaminic products at your local store.

GIVEAWAY: Three lucky winners will receive one pack of Triaminic Thin Strips (which comes with 3 boxes)
