My Busy Kit Review & Giveaway (Ends 5/5)

When we go to a restaurant, the doctor’s office, travel, or anywhere else that requires the kids to stay entertained and quiet, I am always looking for something to keep them busy.  My iPod Touch is usually the first “toy” I whip out of my purse, but since I only have one of them, it’s hard because I don’t want them to fight over it.  So now I try to hand off any random toys I have in my purse.  Well now there is a company that puts everything you need for your child to color, play, create and discover all in one fun place!

My Busy Kit is a small tote that is jam packed with all sorts of activities to keep kids busy and entertained.  The kit is about the size of a lunchbox and comes in a clear vinyl carrying bag (so you can keep using it!)  The standard kit is perfect for kids ages 3 to 7 years old, but they also carry a Toddler version for kids around 18 months old and they will customize kits for kids up to 10 years old.  All the items are also safe per CPSCIA lead and recall notices.

You can purchase a Standard My Airport Busy Kit ($19.95), which contains linking shapes, washable markers, tap measures, laceboard and more, or there are specific kits geared towards boys and girls ($26.95).

MY THOUGHTS:

At first I was skeptical that this little tote bag could be really keep my boys busy, but I was wrong.  I broke out this kit when we went to a restaruant the other night and it was wonderful.  My boys were so excited first because it was something new and second because there was so much inside.  Normally at restuarants I am pushing crayons and coloring sheets at them so it was nice that they could play for awhile and keep everything contained.

Now granted nothing in this kit was very expensive, but it is just the fact that there is so much to play with that it kept both boys busy.  There were little plastic toys, a laceboard, markers, stickers, scissors, coloring book and more!  I love too that the tote is reusable and everything fits nicely in it.  These kits would really be perfect for so many occasions and even make a great gift for any child.  I am keeping this kit in my car so I have it ready when we go somewhere.  I think having one for each kid might be nice though so no future fights happen.
