Okay so if you haven’t already, I highly recommend signing up for the CPSC email list. The CPSC is the Consumer Product Safety Commission and depending on what list you subscribe to, you will receive an email whenever there is a recall. It is free and takes seconds to sign up. I don’t watch the news so I really rely on the CPSC newsletter to let me know when there are recalls. Right now I am just signed up for the one involving infant/child products and it seems like everyday there is at least one recall! It is scary because I know for something to be recalled it is serious and unsafe. I have caught about 4 items so far that I own that were recalled.
Also, even if you don’t have kids or are just concerned with other recalls, you can also sign up to receive all recall notices or other ones in specific categories.
