ABOUT THE APP:

Follow Pickle Bob on his voyage from childhood catching frogs, to his swashbuckling days fighting the Peppered Pickled Pirates, and on his way to America to save the children from the Dastardly Sugar Monsters. Your children will also enjoy a little history about pickles and how America was named after a pickle peddler too. Fourteen wonderful illustrations with background sounds to entertain and delight preschool to kindergarten ages. Narration is not included.

MY THOUGHTS:

So first off I will say the illustrations are awesome.  They make the images come to life and really caught my eye, and keep my son engaged.  This app is very easy to use as you just touch the screen to go to the next page and it is very neat how sounds pop up on each page.  I was disappointed though that there was not a narration option as my 3 year old doesn’t read yet and he likes to have it read to him, so I constantly have to.  Now I don’t mind reading him the book, but an option for it to read to him would be nice for times when I don’t have a chance to read to him (like at the grocery store, doctor, etc…)  Overall, my little guy likes to look at the pictures and this will be great for him when he starts reading, for now I read it to him and I admit I enjoy the story and illustrations!  This would be especially nice for kids who read who don’t want the narration because it is babyish, or who love pickles!
