MY THOUGHTS:

I love Wii games that are all about movement, because isn’t that really what the Wii is all about!  We have Wii Fit and Wii Sports, but really that is it as far as exercise-type games go.  Now what I love about Get Moving is that it is really a game for families to play together and “get moving!”  It differs from other Wii exercise games because this one really is geared towards kids.  You start off designing your character, from clothes to hair and shoes!  Next you choose whether you want to play a quick set of games or individual games, up to two players.  You can also use the Wii Balance Board for certain games in it.  Brooke Burke, celebrity mom and fitness expert, is the leader in this game and even gives family tips throughout the game.

I played basketball, baseball, step, volleyball, and flying so far.  I like all of them as they are different than games I am used to playing – for example, I haven’t yet played basketball or volleyball yet for the Wii.  The only flaw I noticed is that maybe the precision is not perfect as I feel like I was doing the right moves but it would make my alignment off.  Overall though, it is definitely a fun game and with over 15 activities to play around in, there is a lot to do.  I love too that you can change the background to a castle, jungle, farm, space and more!  It is a great game for families looking for sports games that are kid-friendly.  It is also from the creators of Jumpstart games so you know it is going to fun. I also want to add that of course I want my kids to go outside and play, but if they are going to play inside at least I can feel good when they are they playing this game!
