Tommee Tippee Sippy Cups Review

ABOUT:

Well a company from Great Britain with 50 years of experience has now introduced their products to the US marketplace. Tommee Tippee products are BPA Free, support natural oral development, and are created within stages so you buy the appropriate product for your child.

MY THOUGHTS:

Everywhere I look in my house and my car, there are milk spots. Whether it is because my kids flick the straws in their sippy cups or leave them on their side, it spills. The whole reason I went to the straw sippy cups was because the spouts on regular sippy cups were so hard and my boys did not like them at all.

The Explora line is a progressively staged feeding line that allows for smooth transitions from first sips and tastes to independent eating and drinking. Their cups features their advance-flo technology, which guarantees easier drinking without spills or leaks, while their feeding products allow for less mess and stress!

My youngest son got to try out their Stage 2 sippy cups and he did fine with them. I like that there is an attached cap for the spout that doesn’t get in the way of his drinking, but yet still gives me piece of mind that I can close it when he is done drinking. He liked how easy it was to grip the cup and how the spout was soft and rubbery! Now he is 26 months old and used to straw sippy cups, but overall I would say these are pretty nice cups and I could definitely see starting with Stage 1 which is for 6 months and up and going through all the following stages of cups.

I will say though that we did have leaks, even though it states “truly spill-proof.” Now I don’t know if it is just my kids, but they have a tendency to throw their bottles on the floor when they are done drinking and since the cups were on their sides, they did leak out milk puddles. When I shook the cups upside down, because come on that is what the kids are going to do, I also had some milk come out but I really had to shake them. Overall, though I think these Tommee Tippee cups do a pretty good job of helping a child transition from bottle to sippy cup and so forth, and they do have a neat and soft design.

Even though I had leakage problems, I really have come to the conclusion that there is no truly spill-proof cup, especially if you have kids like mine! I am definitely interested though in their Stage 4 and Stage 5 cups which are a water bottle and drinking cup, since my boys are more age appropriate for these cups.
