I think a nice bookshelf can really make a room and this bookshelf is amazing.  It is a dark maple color and the perfect height for kids.  It is shorter than I expected but it is really perfect for kids.  The shelf is not adjustable but I have found it works just fine for what I need it for.  Without the baskets it works great for books and with the baskets it works perfect for storing toys.  I also think I will definitely be able to use this bookshelf as my boys grow for craft supplies, office supplies or really anything else!  I say too that the bookshelf will grow with my boys because it is durable and sturdy so I know it will last.  (Now hopefully it is crayon-proof because my youngest is in a drawing-on-everything phase!)

As far as putting the bookshelf together, it was very easy and didn’t require any special tools.  I also got the baskets to check out which are sold as a set of five hand-woven wicker baskets with removable cotton liners for $50.  They fit perfectly on the bookshelf and are a decent size.  I still haven’t decided which way I am going to use the Mission Bookshelf whether it be for books or with the baskets but either way it is a super nice piece of furniture for our playroom.  It is much sturdier than the bookshelf I had there previously and I love that it is the perfect height for my boys right now.
