Total Gym XLS Review (Yes the one endorsed by Chuck Norris!)

ABOUT:

The Total Gym first appeared on TV 11 years ago and is now in over 3 million homes.  Originally in rehabilitation centers, its users started to realize it was the perfect workout tool because of:

·  the smooth, gliding motion was easy on the joints,

·  the various height levels accommodated every fitness level,

·  the padded glideboard provided excellent support for the back,

·  it was easy on the body because you use various percentages of your body weight as resistance, and

·  there are so many exercises you can perform for every part of your body.

It is also endorsed by Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley who stand by the machine and use it themselves (as seen in the infomercials.)

MY THOUGHTS:

Overall, I found that the Total Gym XLS is the perfect way for both my husband and I to work out.  The only drawback is we fight over who uses it!  It really is simple to use and store, which is perfect if you don’t have a lot of room.  I know it is expensive at about $800, but I know a gym membership for a couple for a year costs more than that.  (We were paying $90 a month plus we had an enrollment fee at the gym we used.)  It does take awhile to get the hang of using the Total Gym XLS to Exercise but it really does offer so much that it replaces so many machines in the gym.  The only thing the Total Gym doesn’t do that I would normally do at the gym is walk or run (like on a treadmill) or offer child care, but I figure I will walk when I am out with the kids and use the Total Gym at night or during naptime. My husband especially loves it because he can now do Resistance Training at home when he has time.
