MY THOUGHTS:

My husband is a huge Monopoly fan.  Since having our two boys, we really don’t have time or the space to set up (and leave) a Monopoly board game.  It usually takes us two nights at least to finish a game.  We now play on our Nintendo Wii when we get the chance and what is awesome about the new Monopoly Streets game is that there are so many different game boards available and different ways to play.  For example, my husband and I choose Speed Die which everyone starts with a little extra money and a third dice.  The third dice adds a fun flair of adding in a number, Mr. Monopoly option or Bus option.  There is also the Official Monopoly version, Short Game, Bull Market, Jackpot, and Fast Deal.  So you can only choose from a fun board design but also change up the game version!  And yes if you are like us and have your own House Rules, you can also change those up like the Income and Luxury Tax fees, Free Parking payouts, and more!

By playing more and more Monopoly, you can unlock items such as new boards and tokens.  It gives a great motivation to keep playing!  I will say we had more fun probably then playing the classic game because the colors and designs are amazing.  As you play you actually go around the game board and see the properties and buildings.  You can buy houses and hotels just as you normally would,as well as trading with other players.  We did have a problem trading with one of the computer players, he just didn’t want to trade!  Overall though my husband and I had so much fun and have decided to play at least once a week or so, it is something nice we can do together to unwind and I think it will be fun when we have friends over to play too!

BUY IT: Look for “Monopoly Streets” wherever video games are sold or check it out on Amazon for $29.99 (Wii).

  • It's hard to come by educated people for this
subject, however, you sound like you know what you're talking about!
    Thanks

  • I have the PS3 version and I agree, it's very fun!! My daughter never played the board version so I'm having to teach her the concepts, she's 10, but it's still fun!
