ABOUT:
From the Academy Award winning creators of Wallace & Gromit™ and Shaun the Sheep™ comes an all-new preschool pal to join the playgroup! From the hit Playhouse Disney TV series, Timmy Time™, the hilarious sheep launches his first-ever DVD with Timmy Steals the Show. Fans of Shaun the Sheep will recognize the antics of the lovable preschooler, Timmy, from his role in the successful Shaun the Sheep franchise, which has released eight DVDs since the brand launch in 2008. Unlike almost all other preschool shows, Timmy Time doesn’t utter a single word of dialogue. Nonetheless, through every hoot, cluck, bark, mew, oink, quack and bleat, this endearing new character and his barnyard of animal friends translate their antics, sentiments and lessons with ease and fun! Whether it’s putting on a talent show, making new friends, dancing to his own beat or discovering the importance of apologizing, Timmy has a lot to learn. When there’s this much fun to be had, your little lambs will surely come baaaa-ck for more!
With slapstick humor and classic silent comedy, Timmy Time draws from Shaun the Sheep’s frolicking adventures with each episode following a day in the life of Timmy and his friends where they learn lessons about friendship and trial and error to which every young child can relate. Timmy Time debuted on Playhouse Disney in September, to stellar ratings with over 1.5 million viewers and continues to air daily in nearly 100 million homes.
To further familiarize kids with the adorable sheep, Timmy Time has been cross-promoted on over 1 MILLION DVDs starting in September ‘10, and featured on other popular series such as Thomas & Friends™, Barney™, Fireman Sam™ and more! A new website launched at timmytimedvd.com, featuring clips from the show, downloads, fun games and DVD offers. Timmy toys from Jakks Pacific will also coincide with the DVD launch, available at retail in Spring 2011 at select Target and Toys R Us stores. Overseas, Timmy Time is the #2 fastest growing property in the UK and has been sold to over 150 countries. With over 30,000 Facebook fans already, Timmy Time is sure to become a beloved classic for children everywhere!

MY THOUGHTS:
Don’t get me wrong, we are big Shaun the Sheep fans, but Timmy Time has definitely taken over. My boys (ages 2 and 4) relate much better to Timmy Time and his preschool friends! The show is much more colorful and vibrant that traditional Shaun the Sheep which I think makes it more appealing to preschoolers. It is nice too to own this DVD since we tend to miss Timmy Time when it is on tv and now we can watch it whenever we want or take it with us in the car. I think the Shaun the Sheep gang is also more mischievous than Timmy Time, which is another plus – my boys don’t need any more ideas on getting into trouble! Timmy Time focuses on friends, playing, school, and is the perfect length (40 minutes) for entertaining my boys. I also don’t mind watching it with them, especially since the characters don’t talk, they do make sounds and other noises but no actual dialogue to take away from what the characters are doing.
