Michael Angelo’s Premium Frozen Entrees Review

MY THOUGHTS:

I love homemade Italian dishes but let’s face it, I am no cook nor do I have patience to cook up all those yummy dishes.  Usually if we are having Italian dishes for dinner, we head to a restaurant but lately we have been trying to eat out less.

I admit frozen entrees, especially of Italian dishes, are usually something we use as a last resort and while some are okay they are never the same as our favorite restaurants. Michael Angelos frozen entrees sure come close and I love the fact that they are reasonably priced and ready in minutes!

Michael Angelo’s entrees are also unlike other frozen-food companies, as they have no warehouse.  Their meals are cooked from scratch every single day, grinding their own beef and mixing their own special sauces.  Then the meals are packaged and shipped to local stores within 36 hours so they are as fresh as possible.

So far I have only had a chance to try out the Individual sized Lasagna with Meat Sauce.  It is the perfect size for lunch (for dinner it might not be enough but with some side dishes it would be perfect) and it satisfied my Italian food cravings!  It is made with freshly ground premium Grad A beef sautéed with fresh garlic and onions, tomatoes, spices, ricotta and mozzarella.  And premium lasagna noodles.  It is absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to try out all their other selections.  I am hoping to find the family sized portion but so far my local store hasn’t had a big selection available.  Luckily I just found out Walmart carries Michael Angelo’s and can’t wait to check out what they have.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Michael Angelo’s and even though I have only tried the Lasagna with Meat Sauce (granted I have had three of them so far!) I can attest to their high quality ingredients and fresh taste.  I also felt they were reasonably priced (especially compared to the prices we normally pay at Italian restaurants.)  I have already picked up a few more of these meals and even though they are a little bit more than other brand frozen entrees, you definitely get what you pay for!
