Casa Mexicana Authentic Seasoning Mixes Review (& Giveaway Ends 6/1)

ABOUT:

Casa Mexicana was invented by a father of twin toddlers who wanted to bring the incredible smells and tastes of his family’s kitchen to the U.S.  There are four all-natural and authentic seasoning mixes to choose from that help moms prepare healthy and authentic Mexican dinners!

Casa Mexicana mixes do not contain MSG, chemical additives or artifical flavors.  Each packet is high quality with all-natural spices and seasonings.

Flavors:

Beef Tacos (Barbacoa)  – In Mexico this dish is called “barbacoa” and is known for its juicy, appetizing taste. Traditionally cooked with a dozen different spices for hours in a pot underground, this seasoning delivers the same robust flavors, quickly and easily.

Chicken Chipotle Tacos (Tinga)  – This traditional dish from Puebla, where it is locally known as “tinga”, is spicy and infused with chipotle’s smoky flavor.

Chicken Fajitas – A typical dish originating in Northern Mexico served on a sizzling hot metal plate. Ideal for the busy family, chicken fajitas can be made very quickly.

Fish Tacos – This mix re-creates the traditional and delicious recipe of fish tacos from Acapulco, “pescado a la talla”, with hints of smoky chipotle chilies, paprika, coriander and garlic.

MY THOUGHTS:

I am all about saving time in the kitchen and Mexican foods are my absolute flavor; however, I have yet to be able to achieve restaurant-quality meals at home.  What I love about Casa Mexicana is all the seasonings are already in there and the directions are super easy. I love that they come in four flavors which allows me to mix it up and serve my family high quality meals at home!

So far I have made the Chicken Fajitas and they were super easy!  For example for the Chicken Fajitas you just add 4 boneless chicken breasts, vegetable oils, tortillas, onion and peppers!  There are just four steps to preparing this meal, which is perfect for me to follow with my two kids running around me!

Whenever I have had fajitas at home they were either take out from a restaurant or from a pre-packaged freezer meal.  With Casa Mexicana I was able to whip up a delicious order of chicken fajitas.  I used frozen fully-cooked chicken strips already cut up because I had them and they would be quicker, some fresh peppers and the seasoning mix.  The chicken came out awesome and full of rich juicy flavor, it was definitely high quality.  Casa Mexicana saves me time in the kitchen and I really can’t wait to try out the other flavors – especially for Taco Tuesday!

BUY IT: Casa Mexicana seasonings retail for $1.99 and can be found at many grocery stores and online at Amazon.

WIN IT: (1) US winner will receive one of each of the four Casa Mexicana seasonings.
