MY THOUGHTS:

I had never really worried about bed bugs until I was in New York last year for BlogHer and there was a huge bed bug outbreak, it doesn’t help either than New York City tops the chart for worst bed bug infestations.  After that trip I started hearing more and more about bed bugs and trying to prevent them.  I would wash our sheets regularly and vacuum our mattress, but I know that wasn’t enough.

This set is to provide the ultimate bed bug protection as well as protecting your mattress, box spring and pillows from allergens and water.  You can of course buy products separately but I think this set is perfect to start with.

What I love about the CleanRest products is that they not only prevent against bed bugs, but also allergen and moisture.  Since my husband sweats in his sleep, which I realized after our mattress was yellowing, I love that the Mattress and Pillow Encasements are 100% water resistant.  It is also great for kids beds who may have bed wetting problems and/or allergies!  An allergen mattress cover (or hypoallergenic mattress cover) wouldn’t hurt to try for someone suffering from allergies. The Box Spring Encasement is something I never thought of but if I am going to protect our mattress why wouldn’t I also protect our box spring?  I am thinking too I would check out the crib mattress encasement for our new arrival coming next month!
