MY THOUGHTS:

We love our neighborhood but unfortunately our backyard backs up to an empty lot full of trees and more trees.  During mosquito season it can get pretty bad around our house and we are constantly using bug spray and other chemicals in our yard to kill off bugs.  I hate that I have to put bug spray on them because of the chemical smell and components, but I didn’t realize there were other options, other than getting eaten alive by bugs! I guess I never really thought about an organic insect repellent.

No More Bugz! Organic Insect Repelling Balm is a great product to not only help with bug control but also make applying bug spray (or balm in this case) easier and safer for kids.  This product comes in a tube, like a giant lip balm, and you just rub it on your skin.  What is absolutely fabulous about it is it makes applying insect repellent on kid’s faces so much easier!  I used to have to spray bug spray on my hand and then try to rub it on their faces and with No More Bugz I can just rub it on around their eyes, nose, and mouth.  It also smells nice, reminding me of a citronella candle rather than a bunch of chemicals.  As far as how well it works, so far we have been lucky but then again we haven’t been out much because of this crazy heat advisory we have going on (I think even the bugs are trying to stay cool.)  It has worked when we did use it and my boys love the smell and that they can rub it on themselves (I don’t let them spray themselves or they end up wasting the whole bottle or spraying each other’s faces.)  Overall, I really like that No More Bugz is a safe insect repellent with a great design and organic ingredients.
