MY THOUGHTS:

I have always loved VTech toys for my boys as well as for gifts for friends and family’s kids.  Their toys are not only bright, colorful, innovative and durable, but they also are always full of so much to do.  VTech toys usually have so many features that my boys can play with them over and over and not get bored!  We actually have quite a few VTech toys, many of which I had forgotten about until I started pulling out the baby toys from our playroom to put away for our new baby.  I will say though that there are some VTech baby toys that my boys still play with even though they are clearly too old for them!  Luckily though VTech makes products for kids preschool age too so my boys can continue to enjoy them as they grow, specifically the MobiGo and VReader which are toys they play with almost daily.

Even though my youngest just turned 3 years old last month, he is still a curious little boy who loves lights, sounds, and buttons.  So when I got the chance to try out the Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker I was excited because I knew Gavin would like it and then as soon as our baby is around 9 months old she can start enjoying it!  It is a toy that grows with your child from 9 to 36 months where at first they can play with it on the floor during tummy time or sitting up and then you can transform it into a walker that they can push around.

Setting up the Learning Walker was super easy.  It did have a few plastic ties that I needed to cut to remove it from the box but other than that it came out easily.  The play panel was already all put together that all I had to do is snap in the legs and handle for the walker, which fortunately did not require a screwdriver!  You will need a screwdriver to change out the 2 “AA” batteries it requires but that is expected for toys.  The walker portion snaps together and comes apart in seconds but it is not easy enough (at least I don’t think so) for kids to do on their own.  I found the toy in general to be quite durable and sturdy!

So my 3 year old loves this toy!  He has been zooming it around the house, pushing buttons, and making pretend phones every time he plays with it!  Now I definitely think it is a toy for younger kids but it just goes to show you that even a 3 year old can have fun with it, so you know that as your child gets older it is still a fun toy!  Like most VTech toys, the Learning Walker has tons of great features and fun things to do.  It has a phone that doubles as a rattle, spinning gears, shape sorter (attached with cords so you can’t loose them), keyboard, two different modes to choose from, and a swinging barn door with cow!  It also has a volume control for off, low and louder.  The walker will also shut off on its own after non-use to preserve battery life, which it does come with batteries but they are demo batteries that are not meant to last so plan on changing them when you get the toy.  This toy teaches colors, numbers, shapes animals and plays fun music, which is sure to entertain kids while teaching them!
