HABA New Products Arrival & Elise Doll Review

HABA is a wood manufacturing company known for high-quality baby and children’s toys, as well as kid’s games and furniture.  HABA has just released some great new toys this year that are sure to make any kid happy!

Here are a few new products:

Mini-vehicle Police • $20

Who spilled the milk? This beechwood mini-police car with a squeaker siren is just what every toddler needs to apprehend the milk bandit! The friendly, crocodile policeman will bring smiles to all faces. Made in Germany. Recommended for ages 1 +.

Pulling figure Crab Calino • $30

Scuttling and scrabbling Crab Calino scurries around. Its eight little Beechwood legs click and click against each other and the floor as it moves musically across the floor. Made in Germany. Recommended for ages 1+.

Gaggle of Geese Cuddly • $10

Look at how the baby geese stay behind mommy! That’s because she has the cuddly that lets babies rub, suck and teeth. All the comforts of the nest! Includes a soft, velour cloth for rubbing, a soft knot for sucking, a hard ring for teething, and a strap for binkies Made of polyester and velour. Recommended for ages 6 months and up.

Sheep in the Cloud Rattling Figure • $15

Sheep are good for so many things: wool blankies, counting to sleep and now, rattling and grasping. This sweet-looking sheep will become a baby favorite in no time. Made of Beechwood parts threaded together by a cord so his “arms” flap and make a fun clacking sound. Made in Germany. Recommended for ages 10 months and up.

 

Dotty Beetle Rattling Figure • $15

This super-cute, polka-dot beetle loves to be gripped and rattled. She’ll make a lot of noise, but babies will never shake the dots off! Made of Beechwood parts threaded together by a cord so her six legs jingle and jangle. Made in Germany. Recommended for ages 10 months and up.

Infant Seat for baby dolls • $35

Is baby tired from a busy, busy day of playing, shopping and learning? Then don’t make her get up and walk (or crawl) to the bedroom. Carry her there in this soft, purple and pink baby carrier. Material: Handle of birch plywood, cover of cotton/polyester, with reinforcement. Recommended for ages 1½ +.

Bambini Orchard Beads • $20

Bead together these large, wooden orchard-themed pieces to make a fruit loop. Don’t let the crow eat the pear, though! Helps to develop hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills. Contains: 8 wooden beads, 1 threader and a cord. Made in Germany. Recommended for ages 3+.

Habaland Play Blocks • $70

These play blocks are perfect for the youngest children. First, they can take their time discovering the many different effects of the building blocks when they can create their first buildings. In no time at all they will build little houses or even a tower. The trees and the vehicle with trailer will animate the mini-town. The conductor and the load in the trailer are removable. Contains: 25 Beechwood pieces. Recommended for ages 1 +.

Globefish Squirter with Viewing Bucket • $11.10

Place the viewing bucket on top of water and see what’s underneath. Great for the beach, pool or tub! Made of rubber, nylon and cotton/polyester. Recommended for ages 1 ½ years +.

Animal Upon Animal Balancing Bridge • $36

Flamingo, giraffe, panther, bat and iguana start the adventure of their lives when they set off on a big journey. But there is a wobbly, hanging bridge leading over the four valleys they must cross. Luckily, the strong crocodile helps. Each player gets their secret stacking assignments. Your task is to pile the wooden animals shown on your assignment cards on the hanging bridge being sure the designated ones touch each at some point. Whoever proves to be the most skillful will accomplish the assignments first and win the game. A stacking game with animals for 2 – 4 Players. Recommended for ages 5 – 99.

MY THOUGHTS:

I love all the HABA products and since I couldn’t wait to start checking out girl products, I was excited to check out the Pretend Play Doll Elise.

Doll Elise, 12″ • $35

 

Elise is all dressed and ready to do anything that’s fun. Especially if it involves putting things she finds into her yellow, heart stickered bag. Her big, pink hat and pink carnation tell the world that Elise is unique and isn’t afraid to show it! Includes cool cap and a bag. All 12” sized HABA dress sets will fit the 13.5” and 12” dolls. Body of the dolls are color-coordinated with the dress set. Soft body doll. Recommended for ages 1½ +.

First off I could not believe how super soft and cuddly Elise is.  I expected part of her to be hard or plastic, but she is all padded and dressed in cotton/polyester, her hair is even chenille!  You can remove her accessories and undress her too if you’d like, but you probably wouldn’t have clothes laying around to fit her unless you purchase additional outfits.  My favorite feature is the color and feel of her chenille hair, not to mention her cool outfit!  I know Olivia is going to love playing with her when she gets big enough and Elise is a great size to carry around and take care of.
