QuickSmart Scramble Bug Ride-on Toy Review (& Giveaway Ends 10/5)

ABOUT:

QuickSmart has come out with two new bug-themed ride-on toys. The Scramble Bug (four wheels) and Scuttle Bug (three wheels) are lightweight ride-on toys that are designed for portability. Both ride-ons easily fold up (pinch-free design for little hands, of course) and can be reopened quickly. Unlike most other ride-ons, they come preassembled—a nice convenience! They are affordably priced, too, compared to other choices.

The Scramble Bug is for ages 1-3 and features four quiet castor wheels that can move 360 degrees for free-flowing movement.  It comes in either Orange/Charcoal or Green/Yellow.

The Scuttle Bug is like a traditional tricycle with fixed position non-scratch wheels, also for ages 1-3. It’s available in either red/ladybug or yellow/bumble bee colors.

MY THOUGHTS:

My boys love ride-on toys but so many of them are bulky and not-compact.  When I saw the Scramble Bug I knew it would be a hit with my 3 year old.  The Scramble Bug is a ride-on toy with four legs with wheels that move 360 degrees.  It is for kids 1-3 years old at up to 33 lbs.  It is so easy for my little guy to get on and ride around.  At just over 3 years old he was able to comfortably sit and ride on it, but I can see him being a little big for it.  For a 1 year old it would be great since kids are just getting mobile and with four legs the Scramble Bug is safe and durable.  We have used it both inside and outside, my favorite is the ability to quickly fold it up (and unfold it) to bring with us to the park or grandparents house.  Inside the wheels were quiet and they left no damage to our hardwood floors.

There was also absolutely no assembly, just pull it out of the box and unfold the legs!  I was super impressed with how easily and quickly I can fold and unfold the Scramble Bug!  With the handlebars and ways the wheels glide, the Scramble Bug helps kids learn how to steer and push around with their legs.  At just over 6lbs. the Scramble Bug is lightweight enough for kids.  Oh and it doesn’t require any batteries either!

BUY IT:  The Scramble Bug can be purchased for $64.99 and the Scuttle Bug for $49.99 directly through QuickSmart online.

WIN IT:  (1) US winner will have their choice of a Scramble Bug (4 wheels – Orange/Charcoal or Green/Yellow) or Scuttle Bug (3 wheels – red/ladybug or yellow/bumble bee)
