MY THOUGHTS:

The Mario and Luigi Starting Line Building Set is so much fun!  It is the Official Nintendo Mario and Luigi combined with a K’NEX building set, and throw in some batteries for motorized action!  This is just once set out of a few Mario Kart Wii Building sets, but honestly it was big enough and fun enough for my two boys to play with!  You get a whole track with tons of pieces to create ramps and a falling booby trap!

I didn’t even get the chance yet to put the stickers on or build the booby trap as my boys were just so excited to play with it.  Setting up did require an adult and I admit (although I am not a good K’NEX builder) this took me awhile.  I think it would help to first set out all the pieces together as I had to keep digging for different pieces.  There are a lot of pieces so its best too to put it together without kids!  Its funny too because I didn’t realize there were different tires (hard and rubber) and I was disappointed with how slow the cars were going until I realized each car gets two rubber and two hard, then they took off!  The directions are all pictures and pretty self-explanatory but it still took me awhile to figure out, luckily everything snapped together easily and stayed in place!  My boys also love zooming them around the house.  They are pretty durable and the part that the motor is in is one piece so it won’t fall apart.  With this set being for ages 6 and up, my 3 and 4-year-old boys had a blast with it as we helped them.  It was great for my husband and I as we are huge Mario and Luigi fans!  This is a classic set for both kids and adults!

Everything from the box:

Clear Directions, no words just pictures:
