With the holiday in full season, one food group that is a must-have is vegetables. Yes vegetables. We go vegetable-crazy for our holiday meals and appetizers, because you can never have too many veggies. No we are not vegetarians either, we just love our vegetables. Well one thing that goes hand in hand with vegetables for my household is Country Crock!
I used to use store brand margarine, then I moved to actual Butter, and now I have found Country Crock. That big brown tub just makes any dish of mine delicious! Why choose Country Crock? It has a great taste with 0g trans fat per serving, no hydrogentated oils and 70% less saturated fat, 30% few calories than butter and no cholesterol. I honestly can’t tell the difference in my cooked dishes because Country Crock and butter and with this being less in calories than butter it is an easy choice for me. I have found I use less Country Crock too than I would butter, so the tub lasts a lot longer. So no more running out of butter or trying to soften the butter. I hate when recipes call for softened butter, because they I always try to melt it in the microwave to soften it and I over-melt it. (Not sure how that’s even possible!)
To try a new dish we will have this holiday season, I browsed the Country Crock website for recipe ideas. I chose Easy Creamed Corn, honestly because I had all the ingrediants on hand and it had “Easy” in the title!
I added the Country Crock to the milk to make half and half:
Added Country Crock to the pan to cook up the corn:
o Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Cauliflower
I also made some Tilapia with Country Crock:
Slathered the Tilapia with Country Crock and shook on Bread Crumbs and Mrs. Dash:
So this year maybe try out your families favorite vegetable dish or a new one with one of the Country Crock varieties.

Country Crock will make anything taste better. My husband always has exta Country Crock in our closet. He even puts it on potato chips.
i coommented on mashed or bakes
Lots of grocery stores have cucumber and avocado rolls or you can even make your own version by rolling avocado or cucumber slices in a tortilla with ham and light cream cheese
I have never seen corn done like that before. Am I living in a cave or are there others like me? And that tilapia looks darn good!
I liked the liven up those veggies article. What a great idea about how to freshen up the mashed potatoes to use again.
This sounds so good. Will have to make. Thanks for making
I'm big on healthy eating so I would modify these recipes somewhat... for example, use olive oil instead of butter and whole grain bread crumbs.
I love Country Crock and veggies.. I make a very similar creamed corn but I like adding a can of mexi - corn.. and sometimes cream cheese.. yum
I always use Country Crock and will have to try the creamed corn sound so good.
I love the creamed corn recipe. My husband loves it and buys it in the can. It just doesn't look appetizing to me, but I will definitely try this recipe. Love that it's not so runny.
