It is a battle of good versus bad with the two leaders in a showdown in front of a small bank.  Both characters transform between a robot or truck, but yes you actually have to take apart and re-build them to what you want.  My boys were a little disappointed when they realized they couldn’t transform them by moving their arms and legs, but they were excited to have more to build.  The instructions are visual (no words) and pretty easy to follow, you just have to be careful not to miss a step.  There are a total of 379 pieces, including four minifigures which my boys love on their own.  I feel like you do get a lot of pieces for your money and it was a hit with my boys (4 and 5.) I will admit we haven’t finished putting this whole set together put so far its coming together nicely.  This is a great set on its own or combine with the other KRE-O building sets.  It is also compatible with other brick building sets (like LEGOs.)
