Fitbit One {Video Review} #FitbitChallenge

Ever since my baby girl was born 19 months ago I have been trying to get my body back to how it was pre-kids.  I think we are done having kids and its way past time for me to start excercising.  I have never been one to excercise but getting older has dramastically changed my metabolism so I have started walking.  The one thing that has really pushed me to walk more is my Fitbit One.  Last month I shared some tips on Cutting Calories and How to Get Some More Steps In, and now I wanted to share my review of the Fitbit One!

Fitbit One Wireless Activity & Sleep Tracker

Tracks:

  • Steps
  • Distance
  • Calories burned
  • Stairs climbed

Monitor Sleep:

  • # of hours slept
  • Times woken up
  • Sleep quality
  • Silent wake alarm

Wirelessly Upload:

  • Computers
  • iPhone 4S or later
  • Select Bluetooth 4.0 or Bluetooth Smart Ready devices

Setting up the Fitbit One is super easy.  Just login to the Fitbit.com Dashboard and install the software on your computer and then plug in the USB dongle to your computer.  You can wear the Fitbit One on your belt, pocket or bra, which is where I wear mine. I don’t even notice its there.  About once a week I charge it by plugging it into a cord attached via USB to my computer.

Here is my video review:

Overall, I absolutely love my Fitbit One.  While I had the original Fitbit Ultra and the Fitbit Zip, I honestly like the One the best.  Since the Fitbit Ultra is no longer available, the One has taken its place with this model being waterproof as the main difference.  The difference between the One and the Zip, other than $40 difference in price, is that the One calculates more data for you, which is good to have in case you want to take advantage of it.

Mom and More Disclosure: I received a FitBit and compensation in exchange for my honest opinion. Please see my Disclosure Policy.

  • Hi there, just became alert to your blog
through Google, and found that it's really informative. I'm gonna watch out for brussels.
I'll be grateful if you continue this in future. Many people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers!

  • I love my Fitbit One! I had the Ultra and the Classic before that. Both the cases ended up cracking after 10 months with the first two models because of the way they clipped on. Thankfully the cracking case problem has been solved with the silicone holder!

Another thing that I think the One has over the Zip is that the One is rechargable, while the Zip requires watch batteries (no idea how long they last).

Yep, I love the Fitbit, but I don't want to look at my step count today since I've been sitting so much. Luckily I got to go to the park yesterday and take a 10 mile hike on trails.

    Have fun!

    • I completely forgot about the Zip needing batteries. My Ultra cracked too at 11 months - Fitbit must be listening to consumers and thats how they came up with the One!
