So I admit I have been a SpongeBob SquarePants fan since I first saw one, back in college. Something about him just makes me smile and it is a show that I now watch with my own children. Now yes SpongeBob SquarePants is not really an educational show, but it is a cute show with some good lessons. I always point out how SpongeBob is such a good friend, he loves his work and works hard at it, he helps others and he doesn’t fight with anyone. I don’t mind my kids watching it and like I said it is one show I don’t mind watching with them!
Surprisingly though we don’t have any SpongeBob SquarePants toys or plush, well until now that is. Build-A-Bear has come out with a SpongeBob SquarePants Collection that is sure to make any child smile. The line includes a make-your-own SpongeBob and Patrick ($23 each) at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores throughout North America and online at buildabear.com. SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom friends Sandy Cheeks and Gary the Snail will also be available as pre-stuffed minis for $10 each. To go along with the characters there is also a variety of clothing and accessories available including costumes, a Pineapple House, sound chip and more! There are even clothes for other Build-A-Bear plush so they can join in the SpongeBob fun!
While I didn’t get to build our SpongeBob SquarePants, it didn’t matter. My kids absolutely love him and he goes everywhere with them. He even sits with them while they watch the SpongeBob SquarePants show! As soon as we get a free day we will be heading to our local Build-A-Bear to build Patrick since my kids feel that SpongeBob is lonely without him. I love that Build-A-Bear was able to form a partnership with Nickelodeon and can’t see what they launch next! That is what I love about Build-A-Bear, they are constantly going with the flow and staying current. Not to mention that for the small cost of creating a plush, you get a whole experience and honestly my kids can spend an hour in the store and still not be bored!
BUY IT: Head over to your local Build-A-Bear store to build your own SpongeBob SquarePants plush and more!
