New Horizon Organic Milk with 32mg of DHA Omega-3 {Review}

During the summertime we are constantly on the go, whether it be heading to the park, grandma’s house, or vacation, we live out of our car.  One thing that I obviously can’t carry into the car is a gallon of milk, but I feel like my kids do not get enough milk in the summer especially.  For my little one its not too bad because she still drinks out of her sippy cup so I can fill it with milk but for my boys who are 5 and 6 years old, I am thankful for Horizon Organic Milk Boxes.  My boys have drank Horizon Milk Boxes before and enjoy them, and now they are even better for kids.  Horizon has reformulated their milk to include 32 mg DHA omega-3.

New Horizon Organic Milk with 32 mg DHA Omega-3 comes in single serve milk boxes which are perfect for on-the-go or as a healthy snack.  They include all the nutritional benefits of milk such as 8g of protein, Vitamins A and D and calcium, with the added benefit of DHA omega-3 for healthy brain development.  When I hear DHA I think of baby formula and I always wondered why kids drinks don’t include it, well now they do!  What do I love about this milk other than the nutritional benefits of course, well they are shelf-stable organic milk!  This mean they don’t require refrigeration!  While yes my kids prefer them cold, they have had them before warm.  My kids lived off these when we drove to Florida last year, it was so nice to not have to worry about spoiled milk!  Now I just toss a few in my diaper bag for milk-on-the go!  They even come in two flavors:  vanilla and chocolate 1% lowfat varieties.  My kids love that they come in juice box-like containers and love that I am encouraging them to drink chocolate milk instead of juice!  I even keep a few in my pantry for those times when we run out of milk!  They are really perfect anytime and anywhere!
