Sea Squad Puppet-on-a-Stick {Review}

My boys never really got into puppets but my daughter is all about pretend play and dolls.  I wasn’t sure what she would think of puppets until I saw how much she loves The Sea Squad™ Puppet-on-a-Stick set from Educational Insights.  It is a set of four puppets on a stick that may look pretty simple but it is amazing what kids can do with them!

When I showed these guys to my 2.5 year old, she immediately knew what to do and was off.  She knew it was a puppet and was ready to talk to my puppet!  We, well our hands anyway, had a whole conversation and playdate.  Super cute and great way to get kids talking and pretending.  I would have never thought my daughter would have that much fun with this simple toy that doesn’t talk on its own or light up.  Yep no batteries required, they are kid-powered.  Puppets are just a great way too to get kids to open up and share with you, when they might not otherwise do it.  At $40 this may seem a little pricey, but it is a good value when you think about how you will get four puppets and these are heavy duty quality puppets that are going to last!  Believe me too my daughter was testing the durability banging them around the house!  They are also easy for little hands to use, my daughter figured out how to open and close the mouth all on her own.
