The Beatrix Girls – Pop-Star Dolls {Review}

Disclosure:  I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My daughter loves dolls and honestly even though I feel like my house is overwhelmed with them, I can’t pass up a cute doll.  The Beatrix Girls are a new line of dolls that are designed to be Pop-Stars, don’t worry not real pop-stars.  This new line of Pop-Star dolls love music and hopes to inspire young girls throughout the country through their music, fashion and goal-orinetated lifestyle.  The girls may seem like just dolls, but they actually create music in the real world!  Kids can collect their music (Meet the Beatrix music on Amazon), join the fan club and live vicariously through the fantasy of being a pop-star through play.

There are four Beatrix Girls dolls available:  Brayden, Ainsley, Lark and Chantal

I chose Lark for my daughter, because of her fierce red hair and personality.  Crazy, but yes the dolls do have personality.  They don’t talk or anything requiring batteries, but rather their fashions and instruments show off their personality.  Oh and the dolls are 12 inches, which makes them great for both younger girls and tweens.  The dolls clothes are trendy and their names are all unique, perfect for a girl who would love to own a doll with their hard-to-find names.  As a said their clothes are trendy and I think they are all adorable, but I think Ainsley clothes are maybe a little too flashy for young girls.  Larks simple but trendy black outfit is my favorite.  In addition to her clothes, Lark is also pose able.   My daughter mainly tries to style her bright red hair and poses her as if she is singing.  The dolls don’t come with their instruments, although there are some dolls that do that cost a few dollars more.  I think having the instruments would be better and wish I would have gotten that one but nevertheless my daughter is loving carrying Lark around with her.

Overall, I do think The Beatrix Girls are great role models for kids in the sense that they actually make music.  Okay so they are not real people but for kids they can at least play with the dolls and then hear “their” music!  I want my daughter to grow up to be an independent and smart woman, and these dolls do seem to have it all!
