Out with the Old & In with the New! {with help from Kohl’s}

Last week I posted about starting my spring cleaning by replacing the vertical blinds in our house with fresh curtains from Kohl’s.  While spring cleaning typically is purging old stuff and giving your house a deep clean, it also is a time for replacing the old.  I mean if you are purging all your stuff, some things do need to get replaced!  I have been filling up at least a bag of stuff a day and while I have been doing that I have making a mental note of what needs to be replaced.

Last weekend’s project was to move my daughter our of her crib and into a big girl bed.  I already had a blanket set for her I had set aside months ago but as my husband and dad were putting together her bed frame I realized I had no sheets!  What store popped into my mind right away?  Kohl’s of course!  I not only had a 30% off coupon (yeah for coupons) but the prices there are always affordable.  I also needed a few other things and I knew I could do one-stop shopping at Kohl’s!

My daughter was thrilled to pick out new sheets at Kohl’s and I was thrilled to discover they were just under $20 for her twin bed!  She picked The Big One® Polka-Dot Percale Sheet Set.  I then picked out some pillows for her, The Big One Microfiber Pillows, for just $5 on sale!  I saw some adorable twin comforter sets there as well that I will be picking up next time once we get the mattress for her trundle bed.  New sheets, new pillows, new comforters!

So I said goodbye to her crib and we got the bed all set up.  Now I am eyeing some toy bins and other accessories to decorate her room, but they are ones I have to order from Kohls.com so I don’t have them yet to share.  I was waiting for her bed to be set up first before ordering anything else, but now its ready to be organized!

It’s funny how I always though Kohl’s carried everything, and after browsing online I feel like I didn’t even touch the iceberg with what they carry!  I warn you browsing the Kohl’s will require some time!  So many amazing items!  I feel like an organizing queen just looking at everything online!
