Disclosure: I received a complimentary cruise for myself and family in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Since I have so much to say about our recent cruise on the MSC Divina cruise ship, I decided to break my posts down into sections. This one is all about food and dining on the ship. Honestly when we booked the cruise I read tons of reviews about the MSC Divina and I was scared of the food. So many people said the food is so/so or awful. Honestly I had no problems with the food at all, I loved it all! Even my kids who are super picky eaters had tons of choices. My youngest son has egg/nut allergies and we were able to feed him as well, which was a concern of mine.
Breakfast – For breakfast you can dine in a restaurant or the buffet. We choice the buffet every day since it was easier with kids and it was so relaxing to sit and enjoy. This is included in your cost.
Lunch – For lunch you have the buffet which is included in your cost or you could do room service which is also free! There are restaurants on the ship also you could dine at that are at your own cost but we choice not to attend those since again it was easier with kids to do the buffet. I did though dine at the Yacht Club for lunch one day with a friend and it is an exclusive restaurant that was very fancy.
Dinner – For dinner you have a set dinner time of either 6 PM or 8 PM which you will be seated at a table with other guests randomly. We had the 8 PM dinner which I was worried about since it was so late for our kids but honestly it was fine. Since our show time was right before dinner (or after if you have the 6 PM dinner) what we’d do is see the show, then head up to the buffet to feed our kids then head down to the dining room for our dinner. We did this not because our kids didn’t like the kid’s menu in the dining room but rather they preffered the food in the buffet and then during our dinner they’d have their dessert and play on their tablets or sleep in the stroller in my 2 year olds case while my husband and I ate dinner. We did have the boys go to kids club one night during dinner but the kids club took them to the show which we had already seen as a family. For dinner in the dining room you can choose anything off the specified menu – for example, my husband would pretty much order one of everything with choices of multiple appetizers, salads/soups, entrees, and dessert. So yes it was a lot of food!
So to recap what is included as far as food goes:
Here are some pictures of the food, buffet and the restaurant we ate in:
Free soft serve ice cream!
Free popcorn while there was a movie each night!
My boys made a friend at dinner:
And a slideshow I made for Youtube:
Since I have so many pictures to share, I figured I’d break down our cruise into separate posts, so if you want to read more about our cruise experience read my other cruise posts!

Great pictures. Tons of great looking food too. Wish we traveled more but we don't have the funds for it. :(
Wow, a complimentary cruise! Blogging really has some nice perks! Lucky you! Your drink looks so good in the 1st pix.
Thanks! I did have to pay a ridiculous amount for airfare the 5 of us but the cruise was well worth it! The drinks were cheap and delicious :)
