Where Do Babies Come From? The Baby Tree, of course {Book Review} #TheBabyTree

Disclosure:  I received this book to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I admit I dread having to explain the whole truth about where babies come from to my kids but for now they are fine with simple answers.  The book The Baby Tree is an adorable picture story book that parents can read to kids about where babies come from.  Don’t worry its not that kind of picture book!  The story starts off with with a boy finding out he is going to have a baby brother or sister.  He starts asking everyone where do babies come from and everyone has a different answer.  The babysitter, mailman, grandpa and so forth.  In the end he asks his parents and they explain a simple truthful answer, minus the whole how the seed got planted from the daddy in the egg. Then at the very back of the book are some questions and answers for parents to really explain the whole details of what happens in appropriate wording.

Sooner or later, every child will ask, Where do babies come from? Answering this question has never been this easy or entertaining! Join a curious little boy who asks everyone from his babysitter to the mailman, getting all sorts of funny answers along the way, before his parents gently set him straight.

New from award-winning author and illustrator Sophie Blackall comes a beautiful picture book full of playful details to help answer the age-old-question..where do babies come from?

My kids (Ages 2, 5 and 7 years old) love the story and I have read the book so much I can recite it practically.  They think the idea of a baby tree is hysterical!  Then there is a picture of babies waddling out of the hospital that looks silly as well!  I really like the questions though in the back of the book because it can be hard to find the right and appropriate words to use and it gives great wording for the questions.  It explains that kids around 6 to 8 years old want more details on what happens and where it comes from!  As a parent you can use their wording as a whole or guidance.  It even answers questions about twin, adoption, and babies with two moms or two dads.  I’d recommend this book to any parent whether you have one curious child (aren’t they all) or even as a gift for a child who is going to be a big brother or sister.
