There are tons of amazing places in Chicago that are a must-visit and the Shedd Aquarium is definitely one of them. Recently I took my three kids (ages 3, 5 and 7) by myself and honestly we spent six hours there. My kids did not want to leave and have already asked when are we going back. Now you may think “How can you spend six hours looking at fish?” Well because there is so much more than just fish! There are actually 32,000 amazing animals to check out. It’s also huge inside that I feel like we may have even missed some things! Oh and for kids they do have an area for them to play and run around a little and yes they do have a food court inside to eat at.

One thing you may not think of is to get a Shedd Aquarium Membership. For us, we could honestly go back enough that the cost ($195 for a family) would be worth it.

VISIT: The Shedd Aquarium is located right off Lake Michigan, near Navy Pier. There is tons of parking available (at a price of course) but get there early.

I live near Chicago and I can tell you the Shedd Aquarium is a great place to visit especially if you love our swimming friends! You can learn while having fun!

I absolutely love Chicago and can't wait to take my 6 yr old to visit the city. Shedd looks like so much fun and it sounds like a membership would be well worth it! The aquarium and MSI are definitely on my list!

Thank you for sharing your visit with us, the pictures are awesome. We've been to Chicago, but not together. We went on business trips. We want to go back this year, our lives have changed and we are on our own again and can take our Granddaughter.
