Head to CVS MinuteClinic to #GoBackHealthy

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post through CVS in exchange for sharing this information and my opinion.

Going back-to-school can mean a lot things depending on the person’s age and there are so many things to do to get ready.  For me when school got out last month I thought to myself how I have so much time to do everything I need to do before school starts up again.  New clothes? Haircuts? School supplies? Doctor visit?  Oh wait I forgot I have to have all three of my kids checked out by our doctor before school starts!  That is something that is usually on the bottom of my list and yes the school nurse has sent a note home before warning me to send in the medical form for my oldest.  Luckily I usually remember in enough time that I can head to our pediatrician but if I don’t it is nice to know that CVS has me covered.

I have actually brought my middle child to a MinuteClinic before not for back-to-school but for an ear infection.  It was 4th of July weekend and I knew my pediatrician’s office was closed which left me going to the ER until I remembered about the MinuteClinic.  It was so nice to pop in there without an appointment, get seen by a doctor, get prescribed medicine which I picked up right then and there and not have to worry about a bill later.  My neighbor actually goes to the MinuteClinic all the time with her family rather than dealing with her pediatrician!

How can CVS help with back-to-school health and safety?

Well inside of CVS/pharmacy stores nationwide there are MinuteClinics.  The MinuteClinic is a staffed by family nurse practitioners and physician assistants and they are able to provide basic services for both adults and children, 18 months and older.  They can diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries and skin conditions, as well as provide wellness services including vaccinations and physicals.  So even if your doctor is too busy to get you in or you don’t have a regular doctor, CVS can get your child ready for back-to-school no matter if they are heading off to preschool or college!

Why Choose CVS MinuteClinic?

  • State requirements for vaccinations such as meningitis and pertussis should be checked so your child is up to date on the first day.  (To find out which vaccinations are required in your area, visit: http://bit.ly/1lUS5vo.)
  • Pre-participation sports physicals are just $39 (that’s $20 off) and give you the assurance your little one is healthy and safe to participate.
  • College physical?  Yeah I don’t remember that being on my list, but it is important!  You don’t want to be away from home only to find out you should have something checked out further.
  • Available while supplies last through December 1st, the MinuteCline is offering a FREE $22 coupon book when you visit!  (No purchase necessary.)
