Getting Organized the “Old Fashioned” Way With Erin Condren {Review}

Don’t get me wrong I love technology and embrace it to the fullest, but I am also a pen and paper kinda girl when it comes to staying organized.  I like to write down notes on actual paper instead of on my tablet and I like a paper calender.  I do have an online calendar so my husband and I can access our calendars when were on the go, but for my blog everything is written down.  Since I have so many deadlines and products to remember it helps too to write it down to cement it into my head!

So when I heard so many people raving about Erin Condren, I knew I had to check it out.  What could possibly make a planner so special that multiple people would talk about it?  Well the Erin Condren Life Planner is amazing, plain and simple.  It is a planner that may look ordinary but it has so much to offer.  Oh and yes you can customize the planner inside and out to really make it “your” planner.

So I headed to the Erin Condren website to start planning my Life Planner.  I chose the 2015 planner (since we are already half way through the year) but was able to add the rest of 2014 for just $5.  Then there was numerous covers (and I mean numerous) to choose from and customize from adding your own pictures, different colors and wording.  I chose the Zig Zag Life Planner, a simple pink chevron with my name on it.

The planner is awesome!  It is a sturdy planner that I don’t feel like its going to fall apart and I can carry it around with me.  I decided to use this primarily for my blog work, and it stores everything I need to.  Each month has a tab and inside it is both a month layout and then weekly layout  I like looking at stuff via a week at a glance so this is great and to keep me on track for the month its nice to glance at how busy my month is going to be at a glance.  The planner is simple, which I like.  There are no pictures blocking or obscuring any dates and there is plenty of room to write, especially for the weekly view which breaks it down into Morning, Day and Night.  Now I just write in mine normal but so many people use fun washi tape or stickers in their boxes to really make stuff pop.  I’m boring and use a pen and pencil, not even fun colors!

This is a Notes section in the back and there are plenty of pages back there both lined and un-lined.

The back of the planner includes a pocket folder which doesn’t hold a lot but at least its something.  The there is a small pouch that seals that holds a few notes and maybe a pen or two. I received as well some stickers in there that had my name on them or where just fun little stickers to use.  To me its the little touches that make this planner unique and a must-have.  Like the super strong coil that holds it together, the little ruler that attaches and the stickers and pouches in the back.  The covers are thickly laminated as well so no worrying about cheap cardboard.  I will say the planners are expensive and do take a few weeks to receive but if you want a quality planner that will last you and one you can personalize then Erin Condren Life Planners are perfect.  Erin Condren is more than just planners, they also have stickers, accessories, notepads and more!
