My oldest is nearing 8 years old and while I didn’t get my first cell phone until I was 17 or 18, kids nowadays are asking for them much sooner. No it doesn’t mean we as parents need to give them phones that young, but for many parents it is something they are leaning towards. Choosing their first phone can be somewhat of a daunting task though because there are so many choices out there.
Well I have found a perfect first phone for tweens, the Pantech Vybe. Why is it perfect? It is affordable, easy to use, includes features that both kids and parents want, and it has a low-cost monthly rate when added to a family plan. I know for our plan its only about $10 to add a phone which would share our data, text and calling. The phone is usually what costs so much but the Pantech Vybe is only $29.99 with a new 2-year agreement.

I would like my phone to have a easy accessible screen for my kids to play on.

i would want a lock on so if my kid missed curfew it requires them to come home to unlock and makes tracking their location easy even if phone is dead
The phone is affordable quick messaging cell phone. Which I love saving $
I like that it has the keyboard and games

I love the Qwerty feature. My daughter would love this as well as have a Samsung Glide and whenever she does use it, she pulls out the keyboard
