Rockin’ Out With My Jam Rewind™ Speaker {Review} #tbt

I grew up in the days of cassette tapes and honestly I miss them.  Cassette tapes were practically indestructible and such a great gift.  I made many mix tapes in my time.  Well Jam, the #1 Bluetooth retailer in the U.S., has brought back cassette tapes to appeal to new generations as well as old ones.  The Jam Rewind is the latest in throwback technology for pre-teens and young adults.  Old people like me can enjoy the nostalgia of it as well!

I honestly think the design of the JAM Rewind is awesome and it works better than I expected.  It is basically the ultimate bluetooth pocket speaker, in the shape of a cassette tape of course.  The Rewind features four speakers and a battery life of up to 8 hours on one charge.  Right out of the box it is ready to go with some charge in it, but I decided to charge it for the recommend charge time of two hours before I used it.  After just two hours it was ready to go.  I turned the bluetooth on my phone on, scanned for new devices and the Rewind came up with no problem.  It synced via bluetooth quickly and within minutes I was streaming Pandora.  The song was pretty loud for a portable speaker.

What really surprised me about this speaker is that it seamlessly worked as a speaker phone when my phone rang!  Yes while I was listening to Pandora I received a phone call which came through onto my Jam Rewind as a speaker call.  I loved that because it made it so much easier to work and answer calls without struggling to quickly turn down the music before I answer the phone!  I have never heard of that feature before.  It also has voice prompts to guide you through charging and pairing.

The Jam Rewind itself is about the size of my smartphone and lightweight, very portable.  It comes with a small red USB cord to plug into your computer to charge or you can plug it into a wall adapter, which is not included.  You can use it as well while its charging.  There are buttons on the speaker as well to control it or you can control it from your phone.  I found it super easy to use and very portable.  It is pricey for a portable speaker, but if you are looking for a small bluetooth speaker that is powerful and one that you can use as a speakerphone as well, this is a great option.
