Recently all three of my kids got hit with a bug and one after another and it was not a pretty site over here. It was like deja-vu, everyday I would wake up to either the same or the next kid sick. When kids are sick they are so helpless and as a mom I try to do everything I can to make it easier on them and help them recover faster. They had no appetites when they were sick so trying to get nutrients in them was not the easiest thing to do, but really they needed them to recover.
Boy did I wish I had PediaSure on hand. I think I have learned my lesson as running out to the store with sick kids at home is not the easiest thing to do. By the time my husband got home and we fed, bathed and helped out homework with the kids, I was so exhausted that I hadn’t even thought of running out to pick up PediaSure. Why PediaSure? Well PediaSure provides essential nutrients in an optimal blend of proteins (a unique patented combination), carbohydrates and lipids that allows for enhanced digestion and metabolization of essential vitamins and minerals. Basically it provides kids with complete balanced nutrition. I would have felt comforted knowing my kids were getting some nutrients and proteins at least when they had no appetite for actually eating any food. With 25 essential vitamins and minerals as well as different varieties, it makes it an easy choice for moms. I love that it comes in a variety of flavors as my picky kids all have different favorites.
While PediaSure has a bunch of varieties, I feel like the most common are the original PediaSure and PediaSure Sidekicks®.

While my kiddos were sick though I admit it was nice to have some alone time with them. We colored, painted, played games and watched movies. What was hard is that I had to keep all of them home an extra day because the school wants kids to be free of symptoms for 24 full hours before they can come back to school. Painting was a special treat for my kids as honestly we don’t paint normally because of the mess. I luckily had found some Crayola weashable paints we had and my kids were all set. Here are one of her “Fridgworthy” creations:
I want lots of Fridgworthy moments from my kids, wether it be a drawing they did or acing a spelling test. Kids don’t know whats best for them and as parents I definitely understand the struggle and see the importance of getting my kids to get all the nutrition they need.
Have questions about kids nutrition? How do you make sure your child is covered?
