Disclosure: I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
As a mom today I have learned to go with the flow of technology and education. Tablets especially seem to be everywhere and I am fortunate to own a few of them. The problem I have found though with my kids using my tablet is they start playing games and veering away from the educational apps I downloaded for them. We have kids tablets that are great and serve a purpose but not necessarily customizable and up to common core standards.
The Little Scholar tablet by School Zone has seriously blown me away. If you are looking for a kids tablet that is educational, fun and more like an adult tablet, this is the tablet to check out. Honestly I have tried a lot of tablets and this one really surprised me!
Little Scholar is tablet that is geared towards kids from Preschool to 1st grade, but I will say even my 2nd grader is getting use out of it.
Skills: colors, shapes; patterns; counting; numbers; addition; subtraction; letters; ABCs; uppercase letters; lowercase letters; multiplication; telling time; counting coins; phonics; rhyming; beginning letters; letter sounds; short and long vowel sounds; letter blends; spelling; matching; same and different; vocabulary; critical thinking; memorization; problem-solving; fine motor skills; observation; eye-hand coordination; focus
I honestly haven’t been able to play with it as much as I’d like because one of my three is always playing with it but one feature I found that is absolutely perfect for what my boys need right now is the Spelling app. In the spelling app you can put in your own spelling words! It takes just a few minutes and you can type in your child’s weekly spelling list (or use one of there lists) and then they can play games with them!
Not sure why this picture came out bad, but it says “Gavin’s words”:
Right out out the box, the Little Scholar is ready to go and it even comes with a 100% money-back guarantee. I cannot say enough good things about this tablet. Im truly impressed with it and I definitely see my three kids benefiting from it. They continuously ask to use this tablet and it has stood up their constant use.
Here is an overview of apps your child has used, time spent and more valuable information:
