My kids are always asking to go somewhere fun and different but it can be hard to find fun places that my whole family can enjoy.  Well Main Event Entertainment in Warrenville (IL) is just that!  My kids ages 3 to 7 years old enjoyed it and I admit my husband and I had a great time.

I had no idea what to expect when we arrived at Main Event but I definitely didn’t expect it to be so big! The place is massive and inside there is so much packed inside!

The first thing we did when we got there was to eat.  We were so hungry and I was so happy they had both a restaurant and quick-service available.  We chose the restaurant which feature open spaces and big booths. How was the food?  Awesome! They have a great drink menu and lots of food choices!  Even my picky eaters food choices

After food, we headed to laser tag.  With it being a Friday night at prime time (about 7 PM) it was a little crowded but we were still able to get in.  I stayed with my 3 year old since she wasn’t tall enough but my husband and two boys had a blast in laser tag.  He said it was huge in there (its two levels) and couldn’t believe how many people were in there.  We’ve only been in laser tags before where there was 10 or less people so this was a huge difference for my boys but they loved it!  My 6 year old came out thinking he was a champion!

Next up was video games.  There are so many games available from shooting games to racing games to sports games and kid games.  To play the games you swipe a card you load with money and then you earn tickets which are also loaded onto your card.  Its very easy and when you swipe your card it tells you what’s left.  I love that we didn’t have to carry around money and my kids were able to each have their own cards.

My boys were itching to do the Gravity Ropes Course next.  My 6-year-old just made the height requirement and we were set to do it.  I went up there with my boys and honestly, I couldn’t do it.  Its funny, I’ve been ziplining and done adventurous activities before, but this I couldn’t do.  My boys though had no problem and were completely fine doing it without me!  I was so proud of them for being so brave and adventurous!

To end the night, we did bowling.  I like to say “The family that bowls together stays together” and my family had a blast!  The bowling offered is not just your typical bowling.  Setting it up is done with a computer and its super easy to do.  We even had an associate help up get everything ready since it was our first time.  We were able to choose both bumpers and non-bumpers for our lane, which was great and its not always a feature offered.  The best part though was you can really interact with your bowling game via mini games/themes.  You can even take pictures of your players and save them.  So for example when your playing little pictures popped up of us on silly bodies.  We laughed and laughed over the images!

Overall, we had a blast and my kids are already asking when we are going back.  I love that it is a place right here in the suburbs that we can pop into whenever we are looking for something fun to do.  With so much to do inside, even if they are busy everyone is also pretty spread out that it doesn’t seem crowded.

Oh and to make Main Event even better they have great promotions going on constantly!
