My 3 year old daughter loves Palace Pets and is just starting to get into board games.  My boys play board games but they are usually too hard for my daughter.  Royal Pet Salon Game from Wonder Forge is the perfect game for any Palace Pets fan as young as 3 years old.

Get regally pampered in the dreamy, 3D Royal Pet Salon. Move your adorable pet from room to room through doorways sized just for castle cuties. Look for posh pet products, from fancy soaps and shampoos to tiaras, collars and sweet treats – all hidden throughout the salon! If you find something on a face-up card, it’s yours to keep! When time is up, all of the Palace Pets leave the salon with grooming goodies. The player with the most wins!

There is no reading required in the game, its all about pictures.  You first pick a Palace Pet and card.  Then you spin the spinner and move 1-3 spaces or pick a card.  The spinner displays both the number and paw prints to make it easier for younger players.  Players move their pets, which are adorable Palace Pets of course, throughout the Pet Salon and look in the rooms for the items from the cards drawn.  For example, a tiara card would have the player look for a tiara and once they find it they get to keep the card.  If they land on the clock then they put a tile in there and once full then the game is over.  The player who collects the most cards wins.  Its very cute and easy to play.  It teaches kids to use clues of looking for the items in the rooms, counting 1-3 spaces and how to play a board game.
