Electronic Soccer Challenge Indoor Soccer Game {Review}

Disclosure:  I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My 6 year old has recently taken an interest in soccer and with soccer season ending I have been looking for something to keep him busy inside.  We have an area of our basement where he has a soccer net and small rubber soccer ball that he kicks around but I know he would love something more of a challenge.

Then I came across the Soccer Challenge Indoor Soccer Game from Diggin Active.  Diggin is committed to making safe, high quality and innovative products and they have definitely achieved that with the Soccer Challenge Indoor Soccer Game.  The Soccer Challenge brings the game of soccer inside with an electronic version you can score points on.

The challenge is to kick the ball onto the mat and for each number the ball hits, you earn points!  You can also kick it to the Pass spot.  In the package you receive the mat and a soft ball, you just need to add batteries.  I will say it is big, it measures more than 3 feet by 2 feet, so you need a spot to hang it.  You also need your own nails or other way to hang it onto your wall like Command hooks.  The game is for 1 or 2 players.

My husband didn’t want to put anything on our walls but came up with the idea of string from the ceiling and that works fine for us.

It comes with the ball:

This is what the back of the control looks like, it has mounting spots as well as where the batteries go:

My 6 and 7 year olds have been loving the Soccer Challenge Game.  It has given them a chance to practice soccer inside and blow off some energy!  We are fortunate to have room in our basement to hang it, you do need room to hang it and then play the game.  The mat is very flexible, and easily moved and stored if needed.  I see hanging this on the fence outside in the summer time, it will need to be brought inside though each night because it is not waterproof.

As far as playing with the mat goes we haven’t had any problems.  We have used it as both one player or two player mode, both works as it should.  This is teaching my boys that aim is more important than just kicking the ball.  The mat has spots that are harder to hit the ball into the goal as higher points.  My boys even practice with one of them being a goalie.  The Soccer Challenge is an amazing toy for any soccer fans and it is a fun way to keep them active!
