Skylanders are basically a part of our family.  Skylanders was actually the first video game my sons ever played and ever since they have been hooked.  While at first I was unsure about the game because of the investment it was going to become, it is also something that helps me as a parent!   You see after you buy the game you buy the Skylanders figures and now crystals.  Well I use those figures as rewards!  I let my boys pick out a new figure for good grades, constant good behavior and they can even cash out their tickets they earned for them.

Well another reason I give them Skylanders is in their stockings Christmas morning!  For the past few years now they have gotten 1-2 figures in their stockings and they love that Santa knows exactly which ones to get them!  The prices range for about $7 for the Trap Team crystals and as low as $10 for the figures.  It seems like everywhere has them on sale now as well so they shouldn’t be hard to find!
