Playing Around With SeaWorld’s New Educational Apps {Review}

Disclosure:  I received compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My kids love animals and in the summertime we go to the local zoo as often as we can but in the winter my kids definitely don’t get their animal fix.  Luckily there are some great movies, shows and apps that feature animals that keep my kids busy.

SeaWorld has come out with some great educational apps perfect for young animal lovers.  The three new apps have been selected by educators and designed to entertain and educate kids through a wide variety of content.  Whether your child likes polar bears or penguins or maybe just cuddly animals in general, Sea World has an app featuring them.

The three new apps are:

Penguin’s Playground by SeaWorld® Kids

Polar Bear Playground by SeaWorld® Kids

Baby Animals: Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies by SeaWorld® Kids

Each of the SeaWorld kids apps provide not only lots of animal fun but their also educational aspects to them.  My kids have a blast playing them and they are learning all about animals at the same time.  I cannot tell you how much I love when they come to me all excited about some animal fact they learned through the game.

Some of the apps features:

  • Actual HD videos of animals in their natural habitat
  • Educational e-books that highlight words as they are read aloud to your child or your child can read them by themselves
  • Puzzles with four difficulty levels – so no matter their age they can work on the puzzles. I like this because my kids from ages 3 to 7 can enjoy a puzzle on their own.
  • Image galleries filled with amazing pictures of animals
  • Memory/matching games that encourage cognitive development
  • Coloring activities with special stickers
  • Interactive games to create, save and share customized animal scenes.
  • Each of the apps is similar, they just feature different varieties of animals.  My kids actually enjoy all three of them and switch back and forth amongst them.

Honestly they have yet to get bored of the apps as they keep on finding something new within the apps.  Each of my kids likes something different from the apps.  My daughter likes the coloring activities, my 6 year old likes the puzzles and my 7 year old loves the HD videos.  I admit I have flipped through the apps and learned a thing or two.

I’d recommend downloading all three apps for your child(ren) so they can start exploring and learning about some new friends.  The apps are free so you have nothing to loose but lots to gain! The apps have just a little of everything and are enough to keep kids interested and entertained.
