I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter by Unilever has gotten a makeover for the new year. It features a new reciepe made with real, simple ingrediants including a delicious blend of plant-based oils, purified water and a pinch of salt. There are no artificial preservatives in an effort to creating real, healthy food consumers will want. The New I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter is also the first Unilever spread to be made with non-GMO sourced ingrediants. These new spreads can be part of an overall healthy, balanced diet and provide a source of good fats – monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats – similar to those found in avocados, walnuts and almonds, and can be part of an overall healthy, balanced diet.
What else is new? The recipe comes in Original, Light and Olive Oil varieties.
Unilever has actually created a whole new system of how their spreads are made from seed to the table. They have renovated their facility in New Century, Kansas, which sends “zero waste” to landfill, with a commitment to be 100% powered by renewable energy by 2020. They have also redesigned their packaging, resulting in a new, rectangular shape that is more space-efficient in the refrigerator, dishwasher-safe (top rack only), reusable and recycleable. Following the entire portfolio transformation, the redesign will eliminate about 552,000 pounds of plastic from the waste stream per year. This is roughly the weight of Air Force One.
My kids especially love I can’t Believe It’s Not Butter because its easy for them to spread themselves and it tastes like butter. I like that I don’t have to worry about artificial preservatives. We use I can’t Believe It’s Not Butter for spreading on our toast and I even use it when cooking. Its a versatile product that gives our foods great flavor!
