Martian™ – The World’s First Voice Command Smartwatch {Review}

Disclosure:  I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Technology constantly amazes me and has come so far since the first cell phone came out.  I remember mine clearly.  It was a brick phone that I had to keep plugged in for it to work and cell phone minutes were for emergencies only because they were so expensive!

Flash forward to today and now cell phones come in a variety of sizes and there are even watches that work right alongside your smartphone.  Yep no more taking out your smartphone every time your phone beeps or tweets or whatever it does to notify you of something going on.  Now you can just glance at your watch and with Martian Watches you can do so much more all while wearing a fashionable watch.

My husband is a watch-fanatic and when I tried to get him a “smart watch” last year, he declined because of the design.  Then I told him how I heard that the average person checks their phone 150 times a day. that When I showed him the Martian Victory watch, he was impressed.

What was he impressed over?  The design first.  Its not bulky, sleek black finish, and it looks like a watch first and foremost.  Next up was the variety of features built into it.

Features:

  • Voice commands so you can text while on the go, listen to notifications, even have a conversation.
  • Yes like I said above you can have a conversation right from your watch, it does have to be a quiet environment but it works like a speakerphone on your phone.
  • Stainless steel or aluminum casing (depending on style)
  • Anti-scratch glass or crystal
  • Works with a variety or iOS and Android Apps to maximize features of watch and all you to configure the watch settings from your phone.
  • Charges with a Micro USB, which is included.
  • Uses Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology
  • 2+ hours of talk time with 7 days of standby time (separate analog watch battery will run for 2 years)
  • Vibrates to notify you
  • You can use your watch to trigger your phone’s camera shutter to take group photos or just a faraway selfie!

My husband wears his Martian Victory watch every day and loves it.  He has yet to complain about it, which is saying a lot since he’s a pessimist.  I think he is also loving all the complaints he receives on it and the attention he gets from showing it off.  From sending a reminder to himself (“Pick up milk on the way home”) to  checking the weather to hearing a sports store, its all at the touch of a button on his watch, all while his phone stays safely in his pocket.  No risking taking it out and dropping it or leaving it somewhere.

What’s another great feature?  The wireless leash which means you can’t leave your phone behind.  The Martian watch can alert your phone when your within 10 feet of it and vice versa with when you can’t find the watch.

Overall, this is a watch that makes both of us happy.  My husband gets to enjoy all the great features and I love that it makes it easier for him to get my calls and messages! No more saying he hands were full and he couldn’t answer my call!  Plus with the memo feature he is forgetting less, because before he would always loose the post-it he wrote down my note on.  I would recommend the Martian Victory Watch for anyone looking for smart watch that actually looks like a watch.  Oh and they are not just for men, the watches are designed to be unisex.
