Zooming Around & Customizable Metal Cars From Modarri

Disclosure:  I received the products below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Last year I introduced my boys to Modarri customizable metal cars and to this day I still find them laying in the toy room playing with them. With so many toy options available today, it is rare to find a toy that continues to keep my kids attention but the uniqueness of Modarri has done that. Not just the uniqueness as there are similar products out there but Modarri has the durability as well so they will last to daily use.

So what exactly can you customize on a Modarri car?  Basically everything. You can take the metal car apart piece by piece down to its real suspension and rebuild it by mixing the pieces up with other Modarri cars.  Popular Science actually awarded them the “Best Toy in the Show (Toy Fair) months before the company even sold one car at a retail outlet! Today the Modarri line continues to win awards and with seven cars available they make it so much fun with choices to mix and match.

My boys were thrilled to get a few new cars to add to their collection.  Immediately my one son took them outside and had finger races with them with his friend. I say finger because the seat in the car is perfectly sized for a finger so your child (or yourself) can easily zoom them around.

My favorite feature though is that there are no screws to loose! When I first saw they were customizeable cars I immediately feared loosing those tiny screws all over my house. Well Modarri designed the pieces so the tiny screws are retained within the toy and the cars even come with the required Hex tool to take them apart.  My boys seriously sit for hours taking these cars apart and piecing them back together, just like my daughter sits with her dolls and dresses and re-dresses them.

Here are some of their creations:

Overall, if you have a car fan at home who is around the recommend age of 8 (due to the use of the tool which may be frustrating to young kids alone) I would definitely check out the Modarri line.  I would suggest at least two cars at first as well since half the fun is customizing the cars by mixing and matching up the parts!
