Going Underwater & More with my Fujifilm XP70 16 MP Digital Camera

My family of five spends as much time outside as we can and are always going somewhere. So one thing that is a must for me is a good camera, well actually a few cameras are nice. I have a big DSLR camera that I use for special occasions mainly, a regular everyday camera and of course my smartphone counts as a camera. One thing I haven’t had though is a good waterproof camera. Waterproof to me means durable and it means I don’t have to worry about bringing my camera to the pool or waterpark.  In the past I have just left my camera at home and relied on my smartphone but then I have to worry about that getting lost or damaged.

The Fujifilm XP70 16 MP Digital Camera is a camera that has it all.  It has so many features that I love but the main feature I love is its waterproof, actually it goes past that and can be used underwater! I absolutely love that I can snap pictures of my kids underwater and the pictures are pretty amazing!  I remember buying an underwater camera on our honeymoon ten years ago and it was a disposable camera that took okay pictures. Cameras have sure come along way since then!

I took this camera on our recent cruise and it was the perfect camera for capturing our memories. From underwater photos in the pool to photos on the beaches at the various islands, it was my go-to camera! I loved that I didn’t have worry about the camera’s durability, it stood up to all the photos I wanted to take at all the places I wanted to take them. I ended up wrapping the camera strap around my bathing suit strap and it hung on there ready to go (plus I didn’t have to worry then about dropping it in the water.) I haven’t tested the shockproof feature but I like that its there in case I drop it!

Another benefit to this camera is syncing it with the free Fujifilm Camera App. It is a very cool app that allows you to quickly share your photos and view them on your phone via bluetooth.  This is perfect for when you get a great picture on your camera but don’t want to wait until you get home and hook up your camera to share it.

I would recommend this for any family who is active and wants a camera to keep up with their lifestyle. I have used the camera both inside and out and while the photos are not the same as my DSLR they are pretty dang good! I haven’t had any problems with the camera and it is super easy to use. Just plug it in and charge it and its ready to go!
